Mrs Manastirli is an experienced investment banker and senior manager with 25 years of experience in international financial institutions. She is currently Director of the Financial Institutions team at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, where she covers operations across the Bank’s 11 member states. Before joining BSTDB in 2020, she spent 11 years at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, most recently as Country Director for Bulgaria from 2015 to 2020 and previously as Head of Office in Kyrgyzstan from 2012 to 2015. Mrs Manastirli has extensive experience leading country and sector teams and delivering strong results across financial markets, energy, infrastructure, general industry and services. Her work has included policy dialogue with national and local governments, central banks, ministries, state-owned agencies, city authorities, sector regulators and capital market regulators. She has also contributed to strengthening public-sector institutional capacity and to designing and implementing financial instruments that support the effective absorption and deployment of EU funds and donor-supported programmes.

Mrs Manastirli holds an MBA from the University of Wales and a BSc from the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies. She is a full member of ACCA.
