Mariam Kvrivishvili
Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia
Mariam Kvrivishvili has been serving as the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia since June 24, 2025. She is a member of the Political Council of the political party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia.” From 2021 until June 2025, she held the position of Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. In this role, she led and oversaw the tourism and aviation sectors. Her portfolio included the Georgian National Tourism Administration, the agencies responsible for resort and mountain resort development, the Civil Aviation Agency, air navigation services, and all international and domestic airports across the country. She was elected to the Parliament of Georgia in both 2021 and 2024. During her first term, she also served as First Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration. From 2019 to 2021, she held the position of the Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration. Prior to her public service, she built a successful career in the private sector, holding senior management positions for a decade in leading companies across the hospitality, aviation, and tourism industries. In recognition of her impactful contributions and leadership in advancing Georgia’s tourism and aviation sectors, she was honored with a national award for her role in industry development. She pursued executive education at the ESM Business School of the Free University of Georgia, obtained a bachelor's degree from the International Black Sea University, and undertook additional academic studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
