Maxim started his career in traditional Swiss banks such as UBS and Julius Baer, where he had a front-to-back experience of over 7 years covering Derivatives Trading, Back-Mid-Office and Compliance. When in late 2016 he was involved in a Bitcoin related investigation, he fell in love with the Blockchain world. Since early 2017 Maxim worked in the Compliance departments of now Xapo Bank and later for Crypto Finance, helping them to receive and maintain their regulatory licenses. In 2020 he started working as an independent Consultant advising Crypto and FinTech companies on regulatory topics and licensing in Switzerland and EU, as well as launched a Blockchain Risk Tool that aggregates multiple providers into one - called Cheksy. Since 2022 Maxim is on the Board of the Crypto Valley Association representing the industry to regulators, politicians and other industries.
