Sandeep Nailwal is the founder of Polygon Chain, one of the most widely adopted blockchains in the world, and Agglayer, a protocol designed to unify Web3. He currently serves as CEO of the Polygon Foundation, a nonprofit organization building infrastructure for a truly trustless internet, where people capture more of the value they create and can do whatever they want with their assets. Under Sandeep’s leadership, Polygon is re-architecting how money moves, building the Open Money Stack, a vertically integrated set of services and software to make onchain payments and financial activity work end-to-end, on blockchain rails.

Sandeep’s blockchain journey began with Bitcoin in 2013, but the turning point didn’t come until he coded his first Ethereum app a few years later. In late 2017, he launched Polygon (Matic Network at the time) with other cofounders, to scale Ethereum at a time when it was desperately needed. As Ethereum grew, so did Polygon’s vision, becoming the premiere network for payments and RWAs, while Agglayer will unify crypto to give users the experience of the internet we already know.
